A Death Café is a group-directed discussion over coffee, tea, and snacks. The objective is to practice the art of talking openly about our own mortality so as to make the most of our finite lives. Anyone of any age, background, spiritual belief (or lack thereof!) is welcome to attend as the results are enriched by the variety of participants. Let's break the taboo together.
This event is presented by Chicago Death Doula Collective, a network of death doulas and death workers providing Chicagoans with holistic, inclusive and accessible death care and education while demystifying death.
CDDC Vice President Alejandro Salinas will be our host he has held Death Cafés since 2017. He is an avid advocate for grief and has a passion for exploring death, dreams, dying, and the afterlife.
This is a donation based event. No one is turned away and all are welcome.
PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to simply make a donation without attending the best way to do so is through our website at www.chicagodeathdoulacollective.com
